Golden Rule Now Offering Dental Plans

The Golden Rule Insurance Company, a health insurance provider based in Indianapolis, recently announced it now offers dental insurance plans in addition to its managed care health insurance plans. Golden Rule’s “Dental Premiere Plan” provides out-of-network dental insurance coverage while its “Dental Value” plan promotes in-network dental care.

Residents of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Missouri and Ohio can enroll in either of Golden Rule’s dental insurance plans as a stand-alone policy without purchasing additional health insurance. Consumers in 20 other states and the District of Columbia can sign up for either dental insurance plan as part of their health insurance coverage through Golden Rule.

The Golden Rule health insurance company is a subsidiary of the UnitedHealth Group and utilizes dentists participating in UnitedHealth Group’s plans for its new dental insurance. Golden Rule’s Dental Value plan provides access to the 73,000 dentists participating in the UnitedHealthcare network. Both the Dental Value and Dental Premiere plans cover all costs of preventive care with no deductible or waiting period. Basic services such as routine extractions and fillings also are covered.
